AMR in the Kansas City Metro Community

AMR KC Metro (previously Johnson County) is recognized as a leader in providing inter-facility, critical care, bariatric and long distance ambulance transports. We also provide medical coverage for events, such as marathons, mud runs and car races like NASCAR at Kansas Speedway. We regularly provide emergency mutual aid to surrounding areas. Our Paramedics and EMTs are Nationally Registered and dual licensed in Kansas and Missouri. We employ 60+ EMTs, Paramedics and Critical Care Paramedics and maintain a fleet of 15 vehicles. Our paramedics are trained to manage patients who require ventilator support, cardiac monitoring and invasive monitoring with arterial lines along with medication administration. Our Critical Care Paramedics have received additional training and certification to provide advanced care beyond the standard scope of paramedic.

Calls are dispatched through a Computer Aided Dispatch (CAD) system. Our dispatchers are certified Emergency Medical Dispatchers (EMD).
