AMR in the Wabaunsee County Community

AMR Kansas provides emergency and non-emergency medical transport service for Topeka, Kansas, Shawnee County, Wabaunsee County and Osage County. Founded in 1995, AMR Kansas employs approximately 160 paramedics and EMTs and averages about 20,000 calls annually.

AMR Kansas is proud of its progressive protocols and clinical excellence. By working closely with local hospitals and emergency/trauma departments the operation has created specialized care programs for STEMI, trauma, cardiac arrest and other acutely ill patients. The operation has also recently introduced a Critical Care Transport program, which provides the highest level of care for the most critical of patients.

AMR Kansas is pleased to announce a new educational relationship with Barton County Community College, which offers Paramedic training at the Topeka operation, along with initial EMS classes, professional education and continuing education classes.
