Employment Process
We want to thank you for your interest in employment with AMR. At AMR we are proud of the high standards we hold for our caregivers, and we want to make sure you understand our screening and hiring process. Please be advised that employment with AMR is contingent upon successfully completing our pre-employment process which includes:
- Drug Screening
- Criminal Background Check
- Motor Vehicle Record Check
- Prior Employment
- Sanctions
- Education
- Physical Agility test
- Verification of eligibility for employment in the United States
In addition, new hires are required to attend New Hire Orientation which comprises (5) five full days of attendance and completion of training evaluation (FTO Rides) during the first (14) fourteen-days after the last classroom day of orientation in order to be cleared to work in the field.
On the first day or orientation new hires are required to bring the following certifications and documentation. If an employee does not have the required certifications or documentation we will not be able to allow him/her to participate and/or continue in the New Hire Orientation Class.
- Florida Driver’s License-Class E: (Drivers/EMT/Paramedics)
- Florida State EMT License or Paramedic License
- ACLS Card: Paramedics only
- BLS Card: EMT and Paramedics / Drivers (If available CPR Card)
- Hack License for Non-Medical Drivers
- I-9 documentation needed: SS Card, Birth Cert, Alien Reg., Passport, Employment Auth., etc.
- Dress Code: Plain White Collar Shirt (No insignias or advertisement on shirts), Navy blue or dark colored pants. (No jeans, t-shirts, hats, extreme hairstyles, tank tops or shorts will be accepted.)
As a requirement for employment with AMR, new hires will be assigned either a part-time or full-time schedule and the orientation period is for six (6) months.
